Legal Document Management

Leon County Public Defender, Florida

Developed a case management system to track case history, identify and clear conflicts, and integrate with FormLizard for document creation. The application called, Case-Zilla is available as a web application for use by other public defender offices. 

King County, Washington

Developed a comprehensive solution allowing pro-se clients of the court system to establish and maintain guardianship status. This project involved taking focus group information collected by a market research company and using it to form the basis for an innovative design.



Broker

National food broker

Created piece by piece a complex system spanning the company’s mission critical processes, and providing a very intuitive interface for performing them, and a convenient, at-a-glance view of key data. Securely web based, the application tracks the purchasing, selling, transporting and storage of product as well as sales and accounting procedures behind those processes. It allows the standardization of multiple processes across the company's 10 offices.

  • Freight Management, assigning loads to trucks, tracking pickup and delivery status

Text message marketing company

Designed and created from scratch, this software was created for a startup company. The application was divided into three parts, allowing the management of business rules and invoice tracking, content management and creation for subscribing marketers, and a public-facing website where customers could browse, rate, and subscribe to a SMS text-based system.

Financial Services

Bank services company

Intended primarily as a way to track the purchasing and selling of CDs (Certificate of Deposit), this software grew into an application that managed the bank agents, offices, customers, and commission payouts. While working with the client, we were able to import all of their existing data and tailored the software to generate their existing, complex Excel reports.

Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA)

As a means of pre-qualifying suppliers for its approved supplier list, we created this dynamic application that manages the numerous qualifying criteria for over 30 different categories. The application maintains electronic forms for suppliers to complete and tracks internal approval and workflows.

Major auto company

Designed a supplier performance management system for them allowing them to capture performance details throughout each quarter and provide defined scorecards and rating reports for internal use and for use in communicating performance expectations to their suppliers.

Construction Management

Water Sewer Expansion Authority of Jacksonville

Tasked with tracking the upgrading of properties from septic to sewer, WSEA had us create for them software that made the multiple construction projects easier to manage. The software is a property and project management system integrated with Google Maps to display properties and track key dates and events in the process of upgrading thousands of residents to a sewer connection, throwing role-specific alerts to the users.

  • Property Management, including tax collector property data, owners, dates, and note repository
  • Tracking individual progress for each resident as they take multiple avenues through the connection/deferral process
  • Logs all key dates, and provides date-driven alerts
  • Integrated with Google maps for public viewing

Executive leadership company

This project involved the design and implementation of a new back office application. Working closely with the client to capture processes already in place, we scrubbed and imported the data from the old system, and created a new piece of software that integrated the many, separate procedures.

Benchmarking Data Capture and Analysis

Austin Energy, City of St. Petersburg, City of Tacoma, City Utilities, Springfield IL, Colorado Springs Utilities, Miami-Dade Utilities, Orange County Utilities (FL), Orlando Utilities Commission, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Santee Cooper (SC)

Created for a group on municipal utilities a custom application to collect and report operating, financial and performance statistics, allowing the utilities to readily benchmark their performance against their peers. This software provided a means of entering sensitive data, providing the driving force behind a number of reports, allowing the discovery and addressing of problem areas.

Education

Montessori school system

This application was designed as a tool for school officials and teachers to manage a central repository containing a list of schools and students, class schedules, curriculums, and student progression. Capturing the existing process that officials already used, the software was created to replace their non-integrated, paper-based system.
